Spring Sports

04-13-11 Looks like we are finally going to get the spring sports season underway. The snow is gone from most fields and they are drying. Looking forward to a spring full of good baseball, softball, lacrosse, and track.

Spring Sports

03-29-11 Spring sports are due to start soon. We need some warmer weather to get rid of the snow. The Norwich Lacrosse team is due to play tomorrow against Castleton. I have never been to see one of their games. I don't know where they play but I would think it may be some cold.

GAMES CANCELLED

03-07-11 Tonights games at the Barre AUD and Div 1 games at UVM have been cancelled until Tuesday night 03-08-11 at the same times. This leaves you time to shovel.

Playoffs at The AUD

Monday 03-07-11 starts another year of playoffs at the AUD. There are very few places better than the Aud to watch a basketball game. I look forward to these games every year. Tonight there is a division 4 girls semi final game at 6:30 pm and a Div 2 girls semi final game at 8:15 PM. There are more semi final games Wednesday and Thursday with three championship games on Saturday. This is some of the best girls high school basketball you will see. Next week the boys have the same type schedule. Vermont High School March Madness. Don't miss it!

2010-11 Basketball

The 2010-11 basketball season is coming to an end. The girls end this week and the boys next week. The playoffs and championships to follow. It's been a great season and I have been Lucky enough to see about 50 high school and college games. I have posted a lot of photos (1,500 plus) on the web site for your enjoyment. I have a few things that have bugged me this season but I am going to give it more thought before commenting. I can't wait to get to the Barre Auditorium to see some quality basketball.

11-14-10 Randolph Center, Vt.

Eastern Maine Community College competed against the Green Knights of Vermont Technical College Sunday. The Lady Knights played first winning their second game of the season 54-37. Sophomore Kelly Vellek from Burlington lead the Lady Knights scoring 24 points including 6 three pointers. The Lady Knights won their first game against Unity College 66-23 the day before.

In the second game the men took charge winning 94 to 73. Green Knight senior Nick Simpson from Bay City, MI scored 30 points with Junior Kevin Carr from Wesminster, MD adding 25 points in the Knights second win of the year. The men won their first game against Nashua 118-59 the Sunday before.

Both teams are now 2-0. The next home games will be against Lyndon State on Nov. 30th. Photos from the game can be seen at CVSPORTSINFO.com
